“Sam [Sammy Hagar] throws a party. I am the party.” – David Lee Roth.
We like to think of ourselves as a David Lee Roth in a Sammy Hagar world. So, when life gives you lemons, add vodka and be the party.
With four voices, 16 strings, and a cowbell, the Tone Merchants is a five-piece Raleigh-based cover band celebrating the artists behind the greatest guitar-driven, high-energy rock songs because the Triangle isn’t going to rock itself!
The Tone Merchants formed in 2023 from a collection of sarcastic rock nerds who met through a Craigslist ad and couldn’t get enough of Tom Petty, Van Halen, and Chris Stapleton. Our unique entertainment fuses three-part harmonies with tight rhythms and witty stage banter, making you want to sing, dance, and stomp.
The Tone Merchants are currently accepting bookings and would be thrilled to be the life of your next party.
Our band is made up of five members: Michael on lead vocals, Eren on drums, Matt on bass and vocals, Bill on guitar, and Eric on guitar and vocals. We each bring our unique talents and personalities to the mix, and we're like family.
We're often asked what genre of music we play, but it's hard to put us in a box. We draw inspiration from a wide range of genres, from rock to alternative to indie to country. Our sound is dynamic and always evolving.
We love playing live shows and connecting with our fans. Our shows are energetic and full of surprises, and we always try to make each one a unique experience. Check out our events schedule to see when we're coming to a town near you.
We're always open to collaborating with other musicians and artists. We believe that collaboration is key to pushing our creativity to new levels. If you're interested in working with us, get in touch!
